a) Pursue funding for Well Exploration

c) Pursue funding for Water Treatment Plant Expansion
d) Pursue Drywash Reservoir Project – Acquire rights / Raise Reservoir
e) Support County Master Plan Improvements/Water
f) Correlate with State to encourage infrastructure improvements as part of Envision Utah – population follows infrastructure – improve entire state not just Wasatch Front spread population!

2) Economic Development
a) Pursue Smart Site Business / Expansion / Contracts / Provide Start Up Resources
b) Pursue Extension of Fiber Optics to Blanding
c) Support White Mesa Mill Operations
d) Support Open Access to Public Lands
e) Support Visitor Center Operations and Improvements / Capture Existing Tourism
f) Support Operations and Improvements Arts & Events Center – SBDC Incubation
g) Update Web Site / Complete Media Marketing Campaign
h) Pursue Direct Contacts with Businesses / State of Utah Expansion / Bring Successful Residents Back
i) Pursue Expansion of Local Business – Promote Local Business
j) Pursue Water, Higher Ed, Healthcare, Transportation, & Energy Concerns
k) Reduce retail leakage – pursue retailers to fill or expand markets
l) Support Governors Rural Partnership/21st Century Community Program/Quality Community

3) Health Care Life Safety
a) Support the Development of Health Care

c) Support the Blanding Blue Mountain Health Care Facility
d) Support & pursue the restructure of County System Per Consultant Plan
e) Pursue Funding Fire & Emergency Service Equipment

4) Transportation
a) Support Hwy 191 Improvements including passing lanes and Devils Canyon Development
b) Support Rural Airport Expansion and Funding
c) Pursue Tourism Traffic
d) Pursue Blanding Airport Expansion Projects per Master Plan
e) Pursue Fiber Optics Network San Juan County
f) Support and Pursue the Development of New Interstate from I-70 to I 40 through Blanding/Navajo Nation
g) Support and follow White Mesa Master Plan of Improvements and Development of roads.

5) Education / Higher Education
a) Support Expansion & Improvements of CEU/USU Campus – Health & Science Facility
b) Support the local control of the School District.

6) Energy Resources
a) Support Natural Gas, Electricity, & Petroleum Pricing Controls
b) Support Energy Development Legislation
c) Pursue Power Plant San Juan Area / Joint Project with Tribes/Possible Nuclear
d) Pursue Long Term Natural Gas / Energy Sources for the City
e) Support and Follow Local Capital Projects Need & Plan
