Description of Major Events
You are cordially invited to attend our breakfast and patriotic program, referred to as, “The Mayor’s
Prayer Breakfast. It is patterned after the annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, first held in 1953. It is a time of reflection and rededication to God, as well as opportunity to restore and reaffirm the spiritual heritage of America and to unite in prayer for our great country. Since the inception of the National Prayer Breakfast, several U.S. states and cities have established their own annual prayer breakfast events.
Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:30 a.m. It is a full breakfast consisting of: hot cakes, bacon, eggs, choice of drinks, fruits, and etc. Price $3.00 per plate. There will be four serving lines with no waiting. The program will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. With the: presentation of the Colors, pledge of allegiance, National anthem, introduction and comments from special guest, and the mayor’s prayer. We will be honoring our local National Guard, 118th Sapper Attachment that is being deployed 6 June 2010.

The Celebrate America Pageant is a program designed to remember, honor and even celebrate our American Heritage. You are cordially invited to come in out of the heat, relax and enjoy this exciting, fast-moving program and "Celebrate America" with song, dance, stories, a band, and pictures.
