​The City Manager's Role
The City Manager is appointed by the Mayor, with advice and consent of the City Council, as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City.
He provides administrative direction and professional leadership to manage daily operations of the City and implement executive priorities as the Mayor's designee.

The City Manager oversees all City departments, staffing, implementation of the budget, and is responsible to plan, organize, manage, and direct short and long-term strategic planning for the City.

The City Manager is also responsible for the implementation of the legislative priorities, policies, and ordinances approved by the City Council.
